Mark Dixon is a sales rep in his 30s. He grew up in NY and though he spends his days dealing with people that he only cares about long enough to make a sale, he spends most of his nights with his friends. Those same friends, mind you, often wonder exactly how many things are wrong with him. It isn’t that Mark has issues, it’s more that no one is sure how he can have so many. His boyfriends often wonder the same which may be why most of them don’t stick around too long.————————————– |
Jacob Lowe is Mark’s best friend. They practically live together. They grew up not far from each other and have managed to never drift too far except for that one year when they lived on other coasts. But that’s a different story. Jacob seems to drift from one good job to another in a sequence of events that some of his friends call “magical” while others consider it “vaguely satanic and worrisome.” Jacob himself doesn’t see the problem.————————————– |
Melina Hill was born on the east coast of the US, moved to the west and has lived almost everywhere in between. She stopped in NY for a year and forgot to leave. When pressed she admits she would like to stop moving for a decade or so. Just long enough to really, really miss it. Melina loves to dance, though she can be “a bit clumsy,” which her friends claim is code for “Godzilla on an ice rink.” She also loves to sing but the less said about that, the better.————————————– |
Daniel Thompson worries that his 30s will make him less able to be himself. He takes pride in his appearance and outcast stances, especially when they aren’t. Which is to say that he is quite vocal about loving that band no one has heard of but also owns a lot of pop music that he manages to defend. He enjoys being the center of attention and is sure he can out drink everyone of his friends except Natasha – a fact that comes into dispute at least once a year, leading to what some have called “The Not-So-Great Drink-off.”————————————– |
Natasha ‘Tashi’ Fukushima is half-Russian, half-Japanese, and all leather. She doesn’t have, she maintains, an attitude so much as an outlook. She doesn’t suffer fools lightly, and yet she seems to interact with so many of them. She’s been a club dancer, a shoe model, a hand model, a waitress, a journalist and a part-time Dominatrix – in the last year. She is sure she can out drink everyone of her friends except Daniel – a fact that comes into dispute at least once a year, leading to what some have called “The Not-So-Great Drink-off.”————————————– |
Sven Haukson describes himself as “a great thinker whose time has not yet come,” which is, his friends maintain, another way of saying he might just be crazy. Sven designs things. He even tends to get paid for it. He has worked for toy companies, electronics firms and once for a zoo. No one asked too hard what he designed for a zoo once he stated “it had to do with the animals themselves.” He once tried to eat a Rubik’s Cube to “steal its power” – he was five at the time. |
